Vasso Angeletou
Vasso is an ITI qualified translator (MITI), economist and journalist.
She studied Finance and Banking Management at the University of Piraeus and worked for 5 years in the finance/banking industry, including ERMIS Mutual Funds and Bank of Cyprus.
Since 2008, she has also worked as a journalist/financial editor at well-known financial news websites, including Naftemporiki.
Under the journalist capacity, she has translated articles, essays and analyses from the international press and posted commentaries for the international markets (stocks, rates, foreign exchange etc) on a daily basis.
In 2007, after completing her translation studies at the Hellenic American Union, she started working as a freelance translator and she specializes in Finance, Marketing, Automotive and Environment.
In 2014, she decided to devote herself to the translation industry and she launched Lexiart with her longtime friend and colleague, Vanessa.
Apart from the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), she is also a member of professional unions MET, SMED and ELETO.
Vanessa Grozou
Vanessa is a bilingual, Greek-American qualified (DipTrans) translator.
After studying Psychology, in the University of Athens, she went on to study at the 2-year translation course at the Hellenic-American Union.
In 2006 took part in the examinations and was awarded the Diploma in Translation by the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Soon after she officially launched her translation career, and within a few months she was receiving enough assignments to keep her busy full-time.
For the past 8 years she has had long-standing collaborations with a number of Greek and international translation agencies and private customers.
Her working languages are English and Greek, and her specializations include legal, financial, tourism and other texts.
In 2014, together with Vasso, her longtime friend and colleague, they decided to launch Lexiart, their own boutique translation agency, based in Athens.
She is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA).
